Black Rapid Sport VS Fotasy Neck Strap

Recently I have noticed a few of my photographer friends throwing away their camera neck straps in favor of the shoulder straps. I searched on the internet to see what options are there. Well sure enough Black Rapid, based out of Seattle, has just what is needed to replace that pain in the neck strap that came with your camra. http://www.blackrapid.com/products/sport.

Problem is i think Black Rapid straps are overpriced.  They look and feel fantastic but, I decided to try something different.

Fotasy NSQF Anti-Slip Sling Neck Strap with Rapid Fasten, Comfort, Ergonomic Design (Black)

I found the Fotasy Strap on Amazon for 1/8th the price of the similar Black Rapid Sport sling.
Well i have to say, after using this for 6 months, that i have to agree with most of the Amazon Reviews.
This this is solid. Quality built, comfortable. Its so good i bought 2 more of these and gifted them to my other photographer friends.

So if you are looking for a Froogal Neck Strap this is something you should defiantly consider. If you don't believe me check out the reviews on Amazon.

Sunset at the Airport

Last week i had to go pick up some folks at the airport and i managed to catch the sunset while i was waiting for them. These are 2 photos of the Alaskan Airlines going to line up for take off.

A little attention for my car

I have been meaning to pay some attention to my car a while now, but I somehow managed to keep busy with other stuff like photography and such. Well Tuesday she finally got the H&R Springs installed. Now i can show off the VMR Wheels like they deserve. Wednesday she got a bath and the clay bar and as i decided to go out and take some photos. I managed to find a spot on my neighbors driveway :) where i got a nice view of the sunset that was happening. These are the results. Enjoy. Feel free to leave comments.

Portraits in the Park

When I started this photography journey I offered anyone and everyone free photos. Last week one of my friend decided to take advantage of this and she wanted a photo session with her friends. I figured, eh why not, I need as much practice as I can get. So without further due, here are a few samples from the results set. Enjoy and feel free to comment and advise.

All of these were taken with the 50mm F1.4 between 1.4 - 3.5 on a Nikon D7100

Rolling shots for everyone

Last week i got a few guys together after work to get in a little practice with the the rig and the camera. I had some great shots and some not so good shots. I learned that i need to stabilize the rig. Right now it's bouncing up and down because of the weight of the camera. I'm currently looking into setting up a stabilizing cable.

Also one of my friends was suggestion i separate my automotive photography from my general photography page because some people will get bored seeing so many car photos. So with his help PROJECT 62 was born. Currently in the process of designing a logo/watermark to brand the photos.... that's it for now.

Oh, if anyone wants rolling shot feel free to contact me. Because this takes so much time to set up, gas to go on location and time to edit the photos, I'm charging a small fee of $40 per car if you are in the Seattle area.

Rolling shots with a DIY Car Rig

I ended up getting a decent deal on the parts needed to put the rig together so i finally did it. There are some things i still need to improve on it, but i think i got the basic part done, the rest is no rush.

I used the
2 Avenger F1000 Pump Cup with Baby Swivel Pin
2 10 ft pipes from Home Depot.

I only used 15ft section because I'm shooting with a Tokina 11-16mm Lens Canon EOS, Nikon  and here are some of the results. I will be posting more photos later as i will be doing a lot more of these.

Here is a video on how to edit the Rig Out.
